Administer and manage the publication, distribution and dissemination of information about the CVC to Congress, congressional staff, the public and the media; oversee the initiation and development of print and digital publication of various documents about the Capitol Visitor Center (CVC). You will develop strategies to generate awareness of the CVC activities and to promote those activities; provide direct support to the Architect of the Capitol and to the Chief Executive Officer by providing testimonial reports for the House and the Senate Committees; possess a high level of diplomacy and professionalism; represent the CVC and the Architect of the Capitol at presentations at various locations to professional groups and high levels of government and dignitaries.

Develop and implement a communications strategy to present the CVC’s mission, vision and programs. Lead CVC-wide internal and external communications efforts with a multifaceted approach incorporating a variety of communication techniques tailored to specific audiences. Lead the effort to establish and maintain a strong and consistent brand identity for the CVC. Conceptualizes and executes the public image of the CVC as the face of the legislative branch of government and a symbol of democracy through design and branding in print and digital media. Develop, shape and lead decisions about print and digital content consistent with the CVC’s mission and to further the CVC’s position as a premier destination in Washington, D.C.
