Vice President of Development

WEConnect International, a corporate-led global non-profit, helps women-owned businesses succeed in global value chains in over 100 countries.  The organization which works with the world’s largest corporations and has been growing steadily and is now seeking to dramatically accelerate growth.
 
The Vice President of Development will serve as a member of the executive leadership team responsible for partner and donor engagement; corporate membership; communications, creative direction, and branding; event experience; media and public relations activities and engagement. The position requires that the candidate is mission-focused, strategic, collaborative, a strong team player, looks for ways to strengthen the team environment and support colleagues and is creative, self-motivated, open to change, and process minded.  
 
The candidate should have a strong fundraising background and ability to interact with different stakeholders including corporate members, foundations and governments officials, diverse suppliers, and women-owned businesses from around the world.  Therefore, the candidate should have strong communication skills and be able to adjust to the different requirements and cultural conditions of diverse operating environments.  The candidate must be a leader who is able to direct and support others at WEConnect International to deliver measurable, cost-effective results that make the vision a reality.  
 
The candidate will build relationships with core donors, foundations, and corporate relations representatives of member corporations.  The individual will also lead the creative development and design of events and materials to enhance the organization’s brand awareness, marketing and communication efforts globally.  The candidate will lead by example in promoting the organization’s core values.
